The brand, followed by millions on social media, wanted to find a way to connect through insights relevant to Spanish digital culture. And we found it in the “English teacher look” — a stereotype that, until now, had always meant dressing in the fashion brand Desigual. The problem? Desigual had just moved away from its colorful, bohemian style to a more minimal and sober one. So Duo — the world’s most iconic language teacher — had to do something about it...

Timeline of the Idea
The idea began with a post by Samanta Hudson. We saw the chance to collaborate with a local creator to launch Duolingo’s first campaign in Spain.
In that post, Samanta joked that there were no clothes left for English teachers. That became our creative hook.

Together, we created the Duosigual Collection — a two-week storytelling campaign that boosted engagement and built a whole world around Duo.
Even Desigual joined the fun, congratulating the brand and sharing content. Who knows — maybe one day we’ll see that collab happen for real.
